Newbie here, first post, I am by no means an expert with themes, more like "lucky muddler"
Anyway, I am looking to have a horizontal menu with some links across the top of my page,
and a vertical menu with different links on a sidebar. I think I'm on the right track with the
"SITELINKS" shortcode in themes.php then changing the rendertype in the links options screen.
I've been playing with the Indigo theme, but I haven't had any success can someone give me
a gentle wack on the back of the head to point me in the right direction?

Thank you!

The Indigo theme already has an alternate Sitelinks menu in it! But you can look in it's theme.php to see how they did it and use that same method in other themes.

Well, I figured it out, I uninstalled the "Qtree" Plugin and now all themes with Alt Menus work nicely.
Sorry to waste your time, but thank you for your replies.
