Hi, I'm pretty new at this. I'm trying to install some of your themes. I downloaded it to my desktop and tried to upload the .zip folder to my themes section. It says an error like "wrong .zip or .tar format" or "does not recognize file." I don't know what to do. I may be missing something.
How do I install it?
Thank you!
Clare

you need to extract the .zip file first and then upload the files that you've extracted to your e107\e107_themes\
directory, then go to your admin->theme manager area and select the theme...

if it didn't work for u i'll try and make a little tutorial with images....gl:)

I tried it several different ways and none worked. I tried uploading straight from my admin themes section on the site, both the zip and unzipped files. I also tried uploading zipped and unzipped theme files to through cPanel (which is what I use) and that didnt work. I also tried using a FTP program to transfer the files and still that did not work. I must be missing something. I put the files in the e107_themes/ folder. When i reloaded the page, none of the new files showed up.

Can anyone help?
Thanks!!

here is a tutorial from e107 designs:

I think the mistake you are making is have a an extra folder in your path it should be like this

e107_themes\my theme\theme.php

and not e107_themes\mytheme\ mytheme\theme.php

a nyway gl:)
